That's exactly it -- a shost, basically. Hmm... I meant it as a pun on Aspect (person in an anspect -> an aspecter -> a specter -> a spectre), and thougtht it fitting, since we do all the work, but are at the most seen in the corner of the eyes of the attendants. The "upleasant or menacing" is perhaps not so good, though...

Hi, just out of curiosity, what is a spectre? I found this definition:

spectre US, specter [ˈspɛktə]

1. (Spirituality, New Age, Astrology & Self-help / Alternative Belief Systems) a ghost; phantom; apparition
2. a mental image of something unpleasant or menacing the spectre of redundancy
