The Free Society Conference and Nordic Summit (FSCONS) is a meeting place for social change, focused on the future of free technology, free culture and free society.

This is some preliminary information regarding FSCONS 2009. As you can see, we are still in an early stage of preparations and are still filling in all the gaps. In addition, FSCONS will be a meeting place for the digital revolution, providing presentations, workshops and showrooms, as well as social events in the evenings. There's an indicative budget which leaves the costs at between 30000€ and 47000€, ie. in line with what the conference cost 2008. Of course, the cost very much depends on how many people will show up, and this is calculated for 300 people, including coffees and dinners. The most expensive item is for the location, which will cost roughly 10000€.

Free Society Conference and Nordic Summit

The Free Society Conference and Nordic Summit (FSCONS) is a meeting place for social change, focused on the future of free technology, free culture and free society. The conference is a grass-roots event that encourages networking and dialogue, and everyone is invited to participate in the work.

Open discussion and brainstorming are two of the primary factors that pave the way for change. The conference seeks to engage, inform and motivate social change through these discussions. In addition, FSCONS will be a meeting place for the digital revolution, providing presentations, workshops and showrooms, as well as social events in the evenings.
