BACKGROUND

Tell us a little about your interest in creating a Mini Maker Faire in your community.

What should we know about you and your interest in organizing a Mini Maker Faire? *

The FSCONS conference exists since 2007 and provide a meeting place for free software, free culture and a free society. We regularily host talks and workshops related to the marke movement. We would like to extend this by inviting the local makers to present their projects.

Describe the mission and structure of your proposed sponsoring organization(s). *

What is the focus of the organization? Is it a 501(c)3 non-profit? school? community? business? association?

The conference is organized by a non-profit organization.

Have you organized or produced events before? Please explain. *

The conference exists since 2007. I have personally been involved in different part of its organization since 2010.

Do you or members of your team have blogging or social media marketing experience? *

We have limited experience. The conference has a twitter account (https://twitter.com/fscons) and a youtube chanel (https://www.youtube.com/user/FSCONSTalks)

If your faire is approved, this bio would be used on a forthcoming directory website for Mini Maker Faires.

I am a PhD student in Natural Language Technology and an occasional reprapper.

Who are your primary collaborators, and how do you anticipate working together & share/divide responsibilites?


What is the geographic area your Faire will draw from, celebrate, and represent? *

The conference usually draws visitor from all of scandinavia (Danemark, Firland, Norway and Sweden). We at least hope to get makers from the Goteborg area and Norway.
